The SBDC Center for Government Contracting at UTSA is a specialty center under the Texas South-West Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network at the University of Texas at San Antonio. SWTAAC provides management and technical assistance to U.S. manufacturing and service firms that qualify for trade adjustment assistance under the Trade Act of 1974. The Southwest TAAC is one of eleven nationally operated centers responsible for the administration of the Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms program.

The Texas SBDC Technology Commercialization Center supports high-tech entrepreneurs in Texas by offering management advisory services, programs like the Texas SBIR/STTR Assistance Pathways Program, an Innovation Development Bootcamp, and hosting events like Texas Encountering Innovation to help businesses pitch their innovations to federal agencies.
The UTSA Institute for Economic Development is home to 11 centers that provide low or no-cost advising and training to entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, and communities.
