Partnering with corporations and community leaders, we transform lives by fostering collaboration, promoting mental well-being, and building generational wealth through cutting-edge financial and digital literacy.
PeopleFund provides small business loans as well as business assistance and education to people with otherwise limited access to such resources.
The SBDC Center for Government Contracting at UTSA is a specialty center under the Texas South-West Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network at the University of Texas at San Antonio. It provides services to assist small businesses, with a focus on veteran entrepreneurs, women-owned businesses, employers, small to medium manufacturers, and cybersecurity compliance.
The Texas Workforce Commission is the Texas state government agency that oversees and provides workforce development and unemployment insurance services to employers and individuals in Texas. In addition to training and development programs, TWC has resources and data to support small businesses. Through their Veterans Service program, Veterans receive priority service at Workforce Solutions offices and offer services and support tailored to the needs of those returning to civilian life.
The University of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) initiative is to encourage and assist participation by such businesses in the contracting and purchasing process. It is UTSA’s policy to be committed to maximizing, when available, the number and value of purchases with HUBs.
