Skills Development Fund

The Skills Development Fund is for businesses who want to train new workers or upgrade the skills of existing workers. Public community colleges, technical colleges, workforce boards, or Texas A&M Extension Services (TEEX) may apply. The goal of the program is to upgrade the skill levels and wages of the Texas workforce.

Texas Workforce Commission

The Texas Workforce Commission is the Texas state government agency that oversees and provides workforce development and unemployment insurance services to employers and individuals in Texas. In addition to training and development programs, TWC has resources and data to support small businesses. Through their Veterans Service program, Veterans receive priority service at Workforce Solutions offices and offer services and support tailored to the needs of those returning to civilian life.
